1995 | Thriller | USA | Directed by David Fincher
Overview
Two detectives track a killer staging murders by the seven deadly sins in a city where it always rains. Fincher built the darkest studio picture of the decade and fought to keep the box ending. What is in the box became shorthand for dread. Freeman as the weary reader, Pitt as the angry believer, and a villain who wins by dying. The 90s noir benchmark.
