12 Angry Men
1957 | Drama | USA | Directed by Sidney Lumet
Overview
One juror, Henry Fonda, holds out against eleven, and one room becomes the conscience of a nation. Lumet shot lower and tighter as the pressure rose, a permanent textbook of blocking. Reginald Rose script dissects reasonable doubt and reasonable men failing. Made cheap and fast, immortal anyway. The purest single location drama ever filmed.
