The Princess Bride
1987 | Fantasy | USA | Directed by Rob Reiner
Overview
A grandfather reads a bedtime story: fencing, fire swamps, rodents of unusual size, and true love. Goldman adapted his own novel into the most quotable script of the decade. Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya became a global greeting. A flop in cinemas that became the most beloved film of its decade through home video, word of mouth, and endless quoting.
