Aliens
1986 | Sci-Fi | USA | Directed by James Cameron
Overview
Ripley returns with colonial marines to the colony, and the haunted house becomes a war movie. Cameron rewrote her as an action lead with a maternal core. Sigourney Weaver earned a Best Actress nomination, rare for genre. The power loader duel, the queen, the Hudson panic, the Bishop knife trick. The textbook case of a sequel that builds instead of repeating.
